Well, hello, everyone, and welcome to your episode number 27. This is your host, Mariana Thomas. In today's episode, I will speak about becoming the person you want to be. I am super excited about this quick and short, to-the-point episode for you. So without further ado, let’s get to it.

Welcome friends. Yes, yes, yes, we are back with another episode. This is your host, Mariana Thomas. And in today's episode, I'm going to talk about becoming the person you want to be. Yes, this is an amazing topic. Because I remember growing up and thinking about who I wanted to be. And you know, when you're a little girl, you have all these dreams and desires. And you start thinking about, you want to be a secretary, you want to be a flight attendant. Oh my god, I remember like, getting on my mom's closet, and I used to put on her shoes, and just kind of walk around and think that I was her and I was doing the things that she was doing. So that was kind of fun for me, really. Have you ever sat and thought, “What kind of person do I want to be?”, you know, even now, when we are already grown up, you know, adults, some of us may be married with kids, or single, whatever your situation is right now. Have you ever asked yourself this question I had? And that is the reason why I wanted to speak about this. Probably a short episode. It’s going to be really to the point because I have been thinking about what I want to be every day. And the reason why I asked myself this question, and I hope that you do as well, is because we change every day, we become a better version of ourselves if we are intentional with it. You know, we have to be intentional, for that to happen, and for us to become the best version of ourselves.

So for you, I want to know what that is. So I hope that you will message me when answering this question. You know, how are you becoming the person that you want to be? I would love to hear that from you. But here's what I have for you. You know, one of the first things that I answer myself was, “Mariana, you need to align yourself.” When you align yourself, I think it does when you start becoming the person that you want to be. So the first thing that I do is align my thinking, my thinking, you know, I got to get my mindset right. So the things that are coming into my mind, the things that I'm thinking about every single day, right when I open my eyes, what is the first thing that I think or that I said to myself? You know, even though I do affirmations and gratitude, and I have this amazing morning routine, I have to commit to action. I got to commit to action. That is the first step to changing my thinking or aligning my thinking. Okay, so it's one step closer to the person that I want to be. So a tiny leap of faith is exactly what you need to turn your wishes and hopes into realities in your souls. And it has to start with aligning your thinking and committing to taking the action to wherever it is that you align yourself with. That's the first step.

The second one is my belief. What is my belief system? You know, what are those belief systems? Are they the right belief systems for the person that I want to be, or are they not? So you got to ask yourself that is a specific question and either wait for the answer, or answer yourself that question, and the answer is within, by the way. So actions will align with your beliefs. The actions that you are going to take when you align your thinking will align with your beliefs. I hope that is making sense. Okay, that's the second step.

The third one is to align your choices. So now that my thinking is right, my beliefs are aligning with my thinking, what are the choices? What am I going to choose to do? The choice is one of our greatest gifts, you know, because every time we do something, or we decide to do something, we make a choice. We either go to the right, or we go to the left, right? So that's why it’s a gift, it’s your choice, no one else's. So as it goes hand in hand with freedom, you know, when you make a choice, it actually comes from freedom, you're free to choose, and we all do almost anything to protect it when we had the freedom to choose. The right to choose what we believe is so awesome and important. What we say and how we live in integrity is so important as who we are being and therefore, learning to make good choices is the key to learning how to live a good life. You know, I can choose to either get up at 10 am. Or I can choose to get up at 6 am or 7 am to make sure that I accomplish my morning routine, and then my day is longer and more productive. That's a choice I get to make for myself.

And the fourth step is that I have to align my actions. My actions, first and foremost. I have to determine what my truth…or you have to determine what your truth is by asking a similar but more familiar question. And I said it in the beginning by our values, which align so much with our beliefs, because they help us to stay true to ourselves and true to who we really are. When we align our values, we are really becoming who we are for the authentic perspective. Align your vision, align your vision and grab a journal and answer these questions that I'm going to give you in a minute.

But let's go back to the steps to becoming the person that you want to be. 


The first one is to align your thinking. And the thinking is that I’m taking one step and a tiny step closer, and is that leap of faith. That is exactly what I need at that moment. And I gotta commit to action. 


The second one is the Align your belief, your belief. Because your belief will align with your thinking. 


And the third is your choices. Align your choices, remember, it’s one of our greatest gifts.


Fourth align your actions, your actions are going to determine the truth of who you are. And then ask yourself the questions. What are your values? Because they help us to stay true to ourselves. 


And the last one, align your vision, grab a journal and answer questions, and I'm going to give these questions to you right now.

And those questions are:


  1. What are your goals and intentions? Where do I see myself going? What's my goal? What is your goal? 
  2. The second question is, what are you working to create? What are you creating right now? 
  3. And the last one, what matters the most to you? And this question, in my opinion, aligns really well with your values, what matters the most to you? 


And as a bonus: Believe in yourself. You have to believe in yourself, to become the person that you want to be. We have to believe in ourselves, if you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will, no one else will. It has to start with you and it has to come within you. It is within you so find it. And I hope that this added value to you, my friends because I am working on becoming the best version of myself. I’m becoming the best version of who I want to be and I'm aligning myself with all these things, and asking myself critical questions, and answering them and I’m taking the steps to get there.
